This Privacy Policy governs the manner in which InSites Web Services (IWS) collects, uses, maintains and discloses information collected from users (each, a “User”) of the www.insiteswebservices.com website (“Site”). This privacy policy applies to the Site and all products and services offered by IWS.

Personal identification information

We collect personal identification information from Users only when it is voluntarily submitted to us. Users are not required to supply personally identification information but it may prevent them from engaging in certain Site related activities. For example, we are unable to respond to inquiries submitted through our contact form if no contact information is provided.

Non-personal identification information

We collect non-personal identification information about Users who interact with our Site. Non-personal identification information may include the browser name, the type of computer and technical information about Users connection to our Site, such as the operating system, Internet service provider, time spent on the site, and other similar information. This information is collected using Google analytics.  Apache server software also logs general information about visits to our website.

This information is not collected to identify you personally, it is done to improve your website experience.  For example, we use the information about your browser version and the model of your device to serve you a customized version of our website that looks good for your screen’s size.  We also use this information to identify problems with the website.

Web browser cookies

Like most websites, we uses “cookies” to enhance User experience. Cookie’s do not store personally identifiable information. The User’s web browser places cookies on their own hard drive for record-keeping purposes and to track general information about your visit.  For example, a cookie tells us this User has been to the site before, but does not tell us who the User is.  You may choose to set your web browser to refuse cookies, or to alert you when cookies are being sent.  If you do so, please note that some parts of the Site may not function properly.

How we use personal information

InSites Web Services may collect and use Users personal information for the following purposes:

  • To provide customer service
    Information you provide helps us provide the correct services and to respond to your customer service requests and support needs more efficiently. We also use this information on occasion to notify you of new services or changes to existing services. For paying customers, personal information is used for identifying your account with us and to communicate with you regarding your paid services and payments.  We do not store any credit card information, anywhere.  Credit card processing is handled by 3rd parties PayPal & WooCommerce and the storage of credit cards is subject to their respective policies.
  • To send periodic emails
    We may use the email address to respond to inquiries, questions, and/or other requests.  If User decides to opt-in to our mailing list, they will receive emails that may include company news, updates, related product or service information, etc. If at any time the User would like to unsubscribe from receiving future emails, we include detailed unsubscribe instructions at the bottom of each email. If you would like to update your information, please contact our support staff at 503-974-4514.  We may also contact you via email to provide you with information related to your paid services.  For example, we may email our customers regarding important changes to the services we offer.
  • As required by law
    We also reserve the right to disclose personal information if and when it is required by the law.   If fraud or other illegal activity is suspected or detected on your hosting account we reserve the right to suspend your service until all laws are being followed.  In this case we will notify you of the situation unless expressly prohibited by law enforcement.

    How we protect your information We protect your information by using encrypted email and encrypted website solutions.   We care about handling data collection, storage and processing practices and security measures in such a way as to protect against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure or destruction of your personal information, username, password, transaction information and data stored on our Site. If you submit our web form and include personal information (usually so we can contact you) your information will end up in the gmail email system which uses encryption and 2-factor authentication for security purposes.  We also use Google docs to store information about paying customers including name, email, contact information, and payment history. Gmail and google docs are both protected by encryption and 2-factor authentication.   Aside from publicly available information, such as your website URL,  we do not share contact information with other organizations.

    Sharing your personal informationWe have not and do not sell, trade, or rent Users personal identification information.   We do not share any personal identification information regarding visitors and users with our business partners, trusted affiliates and advertisers for the purposes outlined above. We may in the future use third party service providers to help us operate our business or Site or administer activities on our behalf, such as sending out newsletters or to resolve technical issues for paying customers.  We do share generic aggregated demographic information about our website’s performance with Google because Google is the entity that provides this data to us.  How Google handles this data on their servers is subject to their own terms and conditions.

    Third party websites

    Users may find content on our Site that link to the sites and services of our partners. We do not control the content or links that appear on these sites and are not responsible for the practices employed by websites linked to or from our Site. In addition, these sites or services, including their content and links, may be constantly changing. These sites and services should have their own privacy policies and customer service policies you can refer to. Browsing and interaction on any other website, including websites which have a link to our Site, is subject to that website’s own terms and policies.

    Changes to this privacy policy

    InSites Web Services has the discretion to update this privacy policy at any time. When we do, we will revise the updated date at the bottom of this page. We encourage Users to frequently check this page for any changes to stay informed about how we are helping to protect the personal information we collect. You acknowledge and agree that it is your responsibility to review this privacy policy periodically and become aware of modifications.
